Escort Booking Deposits: Why Are We Asking For Them?

Financial stress can stifle your growth! Luckily for us, some smart escort in the wilderness was deposited a great idea - and everyone cashed in because of it!

Which One Are You?

A. You’re A Potential Client

You’re wanting to book a provider.
But the dreaded deposit reference has landed in your inbox, yet again!

“Why is this the norm now?”
You ponder with frustrated mumbles.

“How bloody difficult it is to book a sex worker in 2022!”
Continuing with your monologue… aloud.

B. You’re A Professional Escort

Perhaps, you’re an aspiring or professional escort considering required deposits for your escort bookings.

But, you’re just not too sure why we do it, or you don’t think you have the know how to pull it off?

A or B - Either way, you’re in the right place!

So, why do adult companions now require escort booking deposits?

Let’s get started and find out!

Escort booking deposits help manage time wasters and are especially helpful for escorts with busy schedules.

By making a deposit for an escort booking, you are showing that you are committed to the booking.

You ease the mind of the escort for they feel you are less likely to cancel, or do a no-show.

Unless you’re willing to lose money, an escort might not be willing to see you to make it.

A deposit acts as compensation if a client cancels – it can cover the time spent interacting with the provider and any acquired costs involved with your requested booking (e.g., hotel, flights, concert tickets, etc).

Last-minute Escort Bookings

For many years, last-minute bookings (without deposits) made up most of my income.

At first, I was happy with this. I had set work hours and always made sure I was available and ready to take bookings during this time.

If a client no-showed it didn't bother me – I had plenty of time to make up for the lost booking.

But, then everything changed.

I started a day job outside of sex work and went back to University.

Suddenly my 'free' time was minimal. I only had a few gaps in my schedule each week for bookings, and if a client no-showed, I was left in the lurch, unable to make up for the lost income.

The solution was to start requiring deposits.

Deposits Reduced My Anxiety

I was nervous at first – I was scared I would lose bookings (and money) by asking.

But, once I got in the groove and created a foolproof system for asking for deposits (more on that later), deposits worked SO well for me.

Knowing that I had income locked in for the week relieved so much of my life and work stresses.

Remember!
Everyone Is Different

If you wish to take deposits, then do so. But, don’t feel you have to just because of the online banter and discussions.

The point is, where YOU are in YOUR life is the key to whether you should take deposits.

Deposits made NO sense for me when I was cruising along taking short-notice 30-minute bookings – asking for deposits would have hindered my business.

Not to mention, the idea of planning bookings weeks or months in advance would have seemed ludicrous to me at the time.

I liked not having commitments and instead just took bookings on days that I felt like it!

Later, when I adjusted my business model to fit my new lifestyle, deposits made total sense for me, and they WORKED for me.

They worked because I was making a change to my business that was best for me, rather than worrying about what other people we're doing.

Stay tuned! This post is to be continued…
